The Legendary Planet project was conceived to introduce a versatile campaign setting and an epic adventure path that could seamlessly integrate into existing systems or launch new gameplay. The goal was to unify various creative pitches into a cohesive sandbox featuring interconnected worlds, each serving as a backdrop for diverse stories. Drawing inspiration from Edgar Rice Burroughs' Barsoom series, a seminal work in the sword-and-planet genre, as well as Stargate, Lost in Space, and the expansive universes of Marvel's Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, the project aimed to evoke themes of exploration, survival, and interconnected narratives, inviting players to become part of a larger universe.
